The Staff Accountant II is responsible for preparation of monthly financial statements, moderate to complex general accounting and analysis activities, and day to day management of the general ledger processes and reports.  The Staff Accountant II will prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, account analysis, as well as documenting and evaluating current procedures.  


  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Preparation of a variety of financial reports such as expense analysis, trial balances, balance sheets and income statements
  • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations
  • Preparation of journal entries as needed
  • Perform analysis of financial data, investigate fluctuations and prepare appropriate commentary or explanations for management
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain and trouble shoot accounting systems such as the general ledger, account reconciliation, and reporting systems


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 2-3 years of relative work experience
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP with exposure to SOX compliance preferred
  • Aptitude and willingness for learning new concepts and procedures
  • Advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUP, pivots, graphs, charts, data analysis, etc.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels. Ability to interface with all levels within the corporation and affiliates
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet specific deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems
