The Fidelity Life Finance team is looking for a result driven, Senior Accounting Analyst.  The Senior Accounting Analyst will have the opportunity to drive business critical insights through thorough analyses of accounting and financial reporting.  The Senior Accounting Analyst will have documented success in navigating through complex problems, identifying trends, and interpreting financial data.  The Senior Accounting Analyst will also be fluent in various accounting systems to drive ad hoc reporting initiatives and potential train others on best practices.


  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports and performs variance analysis to inform senior leadership of key drivers behind the results
  • Prepare and record weekly, monthly and quarterly journal entries as required
  • Reconcile and analyze accounting activity to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Assist in the maintenance of the company’s financial systems
  • Serve as subject matter expert and provide guidance to the team on various financial and business matters
  • Lead various projects and ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Monitor and analyze department work to implement more efficient and effective procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Other duties as requested


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
  • Ability to reference prior workpapers to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels and within team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with proven ability to effectively interact with senior leadership across the company
  • Strong verifiable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, accounting systems and applications (Oracle Hyperion/Essbase preferred), and other business-related software systems


  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
  • Five or more years of financial reporting and analysis experience
  • CPA preferred
