  • Overview

    The New Business Representative is primarily responsible for supporting the new business application processing activities of the company.  The New Business Representative will enter data, perform quality control, and issue the new application submissions, answer questions regarding new business submissions from our distributors and internal staff.  This individual will be dealing with highly sensitive personal data and needs to be able to handle material in a confidential manner.  This position will also provide training and mentoring as needed for other New Business staff.  The position reports to the Business Services Executive, New Business and is a key staff member in the daily operations of the New Business Department and must meet the physical demands of a fast paced professional office environment.

    Responsibilities

    • New application entry and verification
    • Policy issue
    • Requirement processing
    • Quality review of new application processing
    • Communications with distributors and internal staff regarding new applications
    • Updates to policy records of new application communications
    • Training and mentoring of other New Business Staff
    • Procedure documentation as needed
    • Special projects and analysis
    • Handle complex new business processing issues
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Must have the ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple functions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Aptitude for learning new concepts and procedures
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Detail Oriented
    • Data entry

    Education and Experience:

    • High School education required
    • Prior experience in a similar New Business position
    • 2-5 Years life insurance administration required
