    This position will be focused mainly on two main functions: supporting the company’s product development efforts and management of the company’s in force business.  This person reports to the Product Manager.

    Responsibilities

    Product Development

    • Project management, including planning, communication of project goals to cross-functional implementation team and development of project plan, coordination of resources and communication of status updates for product implementations.
    • Participate in product design activities, including industry research and discussions with cross-functional partners to develop product-based solutions to support the company’s operations.
    • Create new product form filings, ensuring state requirements for the filing are met, submit filings to the state Departments of Insurance, and follow-up, as needed, to secure timely filing approvals.
    • Maintain an accurate database of product descriptions and status of form filings.

    Product Analysis and Management

    • Maintain monthly product and agency performance reports, identify trends and make recommendations to address those trends and improve reporting tools.
    • Participate in analysis of potential new tools for improved in risk selection and sales processes.
    • Complete and maintain documentation of required annual product filings.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to set priorities, monitor and communicate progress towards goals and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work in a collaborative mode with a cross-functional group to set goals and develop action plans
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products
