    As a key member of the management team, the Head of Strategic Partnerships role is responsible for identifying and developing new strategic partnerships with major brands and affinity organizations to acquire new life insurance customers. Representing the best of eFinancial and Fidelity Life, the ideal candidate will champion all facets of business development in growing this new distribution/customer acquisition channel.

    • Lead business development to acquire and grow new strategic and affinity partner relationships. Define strategy and business plans including value propositions, turnkey solutions, and economic models that meet prospective partner needs and enterprise requirements.
    • Identify and prioritize potential partners based on strategic fit, speed of implementation, and growth opportunity. Define and cultivate a robust pipeline of B2B prospects to ensure partnership goals are achieved.
    • Develop and implement B2B acquisition plans including contact management, presentation development, and ongoing relationship management. Ensure plans and materials communicate compelling story, value proposition, and competitive advantages.
    • Collaborate with enterprise business leaders to deliver holistic strategic and affinity partner solutions, including product, marketing, sales, service/operations, business intelligence, legal and finance.
    • Facilitate new partner onboarding by working with colleagues across the organization. Ensure plans are in place to ensure a seamless launch and ongoing relationship management.
    • Represent the company at high-profile industry conferences and prospecting events. Serve as company spokesperson in building awareness and interest in partnering ventures.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert on competitive life insurance affinity and strategic marketing alliances. Develop detained understanding, and assessment of, competitive ventures, offerings, and results.
    • Develop and maintain a structured business intelligence database to support the identification, evaluation, and cultivation of new opportunities.
    • Oversee all necessary economic assessment, financial valuation, and other supporting analyses for specific opportunities. Manage contract development and negotiations to secure mutually beneficial arrangements that provide an opportunity for long-term growth.
    • Ensure measurement and tracking systems are in place to gauge new business effectiveness. Prepare dashboards and other communication tools; and lead cross-functional forums to provide regular updates and performance reviews.


    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or relevant field; MBA from a top-tier institution preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years successful management experience with at least 5 years of business development experience, preferably in insurance or financial services
    • Proven track record for developing and executing new business plans to acquire B2B accounts
    • Solid understanding of affinity groups, joint ventures, and/or marketing alliance best practices
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; track record of developing and delivering high-impact presentations; effective public speaking
    • Executive presence with ability to quickly build rapport and cultivate business relationships with prospective partners; high-level of emotional intelligence
    • Astute business judgment, analytic, creative, and problem-solving skill, with experience applying these skills to acquire and develop strategic partnerships and affinity relationships
    • Superior project and time management skills needed to organize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
