    The eFinancial and Fidelity Life team is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to manage the daily and weekly processing of accounts payable activities. This highly visible role will also lead and oversee several other accounting and administrative functions including vendor management and setup, invoice approval and compliance, general ledger coding, W9's, and disbursement analytics for various departments. This role requires the wearing of "multiple hats" and is ideal for a self-driven individual that is willing to own the entire process, propose and implement process improvements, and can manage time-sensitive deliverables.

    Responsibilities

      • Act as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable processes and own the quality of AP duties and tasks, such as paying vendors accurately and on time
      • Project Manage the implementation of expense systems, such as Concur, and update and maintain such systems regularly
      • Be a strategic lead with Concur Implementation
      • Train users and Accounting colleagues on AP processes, and continuously improve AP practices to better serve the organization
      • Manage Accounts Payable responsibilities such as:
        • Record keeping and journal entries as required
        • Weekly check runs
        • Compiling data and preparation of a variety of reports
        • Run and review bank reports such as checks cleared and positive pay files
        • Enter vendor invoices, expense reports, and other payments in EAS accounting application
        • Review and allocate credit card transactions to the right company and maintain receipts for related charges
        • Process all monthly recurring payables including payroll, utility bills, building expenses, and any subscriptions
        • Maintain accounts payable email inboxes
        • Manage the preparation and mailing of the 1099 forms annually
      • Serve as main point of contact with vendors, including proactive communications about billing, answering questions, updating profiles, and maintaining vendor files, contracts, and accounts
      • Manage storage of records and filing of invoices

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college/university preferred. Concentration in Accounting/Finance a plus
    • Supervisory experience preferred with 5-7 years of relative work experience
    • Previous Project Management experience strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems (Concur AP and T&E module) and MS Office applications, and HR payroll system preferred
    • Intermediate Excel abilities with working knowledge of basic formulas and pivot tables
